According to the Wikipedia article on STS-82 the highest we have ever been is 335-nautical-mile (620 km).  STS-82 was the 22nd flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery and the 82nd mission of the Space Shuttle program. It was NASA's second mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope, during which Discovery's crew repaired and upgraded the telescope's scientific instruments, increasing its research capabilities and achieved the highest altitude ever attained by a STS Orbiter.  Discovery launched from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on 11 February 1997, returning to Earth on 21 February 1997 at Kennedy Space Center.

BUILD THE (sea)WALL!

Tangier Island  is a really amazing place both geographically as well as culturally.  It is truly a glimpse into the past, and that could soon be just a memory due to sea level rise.

I think this is a really great short film about what life is like on Tangier.  After watching you will see that the majority of people who live there truly hope that Trump will be able to put together the manpower and resources to build a wall around them to keep the water out in 2019.  The threat to their way of life is imminently approaching them and they can't do anything about it, scary.  Sadly, I feel that Tangier Island will certainly become a casualty to climate change.  I hope that this video will help people realize how important voting is, and to pay special attention to the candidate's stance on the environmental issues that affect us all.

A good movie to see
